On April 2, 2009 by the order № 331-r the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved Conception of the Government scientific and technical program «Nanotechnology and nanomaterials» on 2010-2014 years.

The purpose of the Government scientific and technical program is creation in Ukraine of modern nanoindustry. Basic its tasks are: forming of infrastructure for conducting of effective fundamental researches in industry of nanotechnology; co-ordination of works from creation and application of nanotechnology and nanomaterials; development of new approaches to preparation of skilled specialists.

The ministry of education and science of Ukraine, National Academy of Science of Ukraine and the proper ministries and departments are to develop and give in three months term to Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine the project of Government scientific and technical program «Nanotechnology and nanomaterials» on 2010-2014 years.
